BRMC Little Lights Preschool - Barker :

Follows the Ministry of Education’s school calendar.

1.1 There are 4 terms in a calendar year. 

Each term consists of approximately 10 weeks

1.2 School Terms

Term 1 - 10 weeks (Jan – Mar)

Term 2 - 10 weeks (Mar-May)

Term 3 - 10 weeks (Jun-Sep)

Term 4 - 10 weeks (Sep – Nov)

1.3 Holidays

Term 1 - 1 week (Mar)

Term 2 - 4 weeks (May-Jun)

Term 3 - 1 week (Sep)

Term 4 - 6 weeks (Nov – Dec)

BRMC Little Lights Preschool - Vanda: 

2.1 There are 4 terms in a calendar year. 

Each term consists of approximately 10 weeks

2.2 School Terms

Term 3 - 10 weeks (Jun-Sep)

2.3 Holidays

6  days of closure in a year for  Training & Development and spring cleaning besides the gazetted public holidays.

BRMC LITTLE LIGHTS PRESCHOOL - BARKER:

The preschool at Barker Road offers 3-hour morning sessions from Monday to Friday for Playgroup (PG), Nursery 1, Nursery 2, Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2.

2.1.1 PG offers 2 programs: 5 days (Monday to Friday) and 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

2.1.2 K1 to K2 students can take IB PYP or Bilingual Montessori for the main program.  

2.1.3 For the main program, N1 and N2 students can take IB PYP, Bilingual Montessori or Chinese Montessori.

Afternoon Co-Curricular Enrichment (CCE) Programs

The preschool at Barker offers 3-hour afternoon co-curricular enrichment programs from Monday to Friday for Nursery 1, Nursery 2, Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2.

2.2.1 For the CCE program, N1 students can take Bilingual or Chinese Montessori

2.2.2 For the CCE program, N2, K1 and K2 students can take Bilingual Montessori, Chinese Montessori, Science and Cookery or MI Chinese Immersion Program

2.2.1 Operating Hours -  7 am to 7 pm

2.2.2 Level: Infant, PG, N1, N2, K1 & K2

5.1 Registration can be done from Monday to Friday between 8.30 am to 3.30 pm during the school term. 

5.2 Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. 

5.3 The minimum age criterion for admission to BRMC Little Lights Preschool Vanda-  infant is 2 months & Playgroup is 18 months.

5.4 Priority registration will be given to siblings of students, children on Wait List and siblings or children of former BRMC Little Lights Preschool - Barker students.  

Note: For priority registration of siblings or children of former BRMC Little Light Preschool - Barker students, the K2 Preschool Graduation Certificate of the former K2 BRMC Little Lights Preschool - Barker students must be submitted together with the registration form by the end of January for enrolment in the following year. 

5.5 Registration for enrolment in the following year will be open to the general public in the month of February.  

5.6 Documents to be submitted at the point of registration:

• Completed Registration Form
• 1 child's Passport Size Photo
• A copy of your child’s Birth Certificate / Singapore Citizenship Certificate / Singapore PR Form 5A and 7 
• A copy of both parents’ NRIC
• A copy of your child’s Immunization Record
•  Note: Your child must complete all Ministry of Health (Singapore) Immunization Requirements for the prevention of infectious diseases before BRMC Little Lights Preschool may process your application.
• Acknowledgement of BRMC Little Lights Preschool Administrative & Financial Policies and receipt of Parents’ Handbook duly signed by parents / legal guardians.
• Submission of fully acknowledged Administrative & Financial Policies.  This must be duly acknowledged and signed by parents on every page.  
•  Note: BRMC Little Lights Preschool only recognizes registrations made by the child’s parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s). For claims of legal guardianship of any child, BRMC Little Lights Preschool requires a legal document from a recognized, practising lawyer bearing the signatories of both of the child’s parents. BRMC Little Lights Preschool reserves the right not to recognize any claims otherwise and/or to entertain any other third party. In the event, registration was made by any party who is not the child’s parent and/or legal guardian and/or unless duly authorized with the written letter of proxy bearing both parents’ signatories as their legal registration proxy, BRMC Little Lights Preschool reserves full rights to consider such a registration null and void.

5.7 For Foreigners - additional documents to be submitted: 

• A copy of your child’s Dependant’s Pass / Long-Term Visit Pass / Student’s Pass / Passport 
• A copy of both parents’ Employment Pass / Dependant’s Pass / Passport

5.8 Foreign Student Applying for Student’s Pass

• A foreigner who wishes to study in BRMC Little Lights Preschool requires a Student’s Pass unless he/she is a holder of a Dependant’s Pass (DP) or an Immigration Exemption Order (IEO) issued by the Immigration Checkpoints Authority (ICA).  
• Both BRMC Little Lights Preschools and a foreign student registered at BRMC Little Lights Preschool are required to apply for the Student’s Pass electronically via ICA’s SOLAR+ system.  For more details on Student’s Pass applications, please refer to ICA’s website.
• Registration documents and payments must be completed before BRMC Little Lights Preschools co-applies for a Student’s Pass for a foreign student.  
• A foreign student can attend lessons in BRMC Little Lights Preschools only when ICA approves the Student’s Pass application. Note: full school term fees need to be paid during the time the Student’s Pass application is being processed by ICA.    

All meals at both centres will be planned according to the nutrition guidelines of the Health Promotion Board. The BRMC Little Lights Preschool - Barker was awarded the healthy preschool by HPB.

2.1 PG students’ school attire consists of: 

• BRMC Little Lights Preschool polo t-shirt 
• A pair of long pants (in any colour)
• Sandals 

2.2 N1 to K2 students are required to attend school in full school uniform consisting of: 

• BRMC Little Lights Preschool  polo t-shirt and shorts or culottes
• BRMC Little Lights Preschool sun hat
• BRMC Little Lights Preschool cardigan 
• White socks and white canvas shoes with velcro

3.2 Please be informed that Transland Singapore Pte Ltd is a separate entity from BRMC Little Lights Preschools.

BRMC Little Lights Preschools -  reserve the right to use photographs and/or video clips of the students enrolled in the preschools for publicity and/or promotional purposes, which would include BRMC Little Lights Preschool website, social media posts and videos as well as media (press or TV).

A handbook for BRMC Little Lights Preschool Parents will be issued to parents before the child enters either of the preschools. This handbook provides further information regarding financial & administrative policies, routines and procedures in the BRMC Little Lights Preschools.
